Ability to pass a criminal background check. Valid Driver’s License, and satisfactory driving record, required. one year experience in relevant position. Supports Maintenance Supervisor with task such as: Tree and Limb removal, pressure Washing, graffiti removal/coverage, gravel distribution throughout trail system, general maintenanceĮducation and Experience/Other Requirements:. Assists with snow removal at the Aquatic Center. Leaf blowing of Indian Creek Trail and Westside Trails. Performs mowing and line trimming seasonally. Scan for loose trash at all parks / trails. Regular service of dog pots at specified trailheads. Sanitizes and maintains restrooms at Golden Eagle, Skate Park, & Aquatic Center. Major duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: The duties assigned to the Maintenance Assistant are to be conducted in a safe, proficient, and professional manner. Must be available to work early mornings (5am) or evenings (9pm) on occasion to perform tasks outside of pool hours. The exact schedule will be determined by employee availability and district needs. 
This is a part-time position not to exceed 24 hours per week.
They will be working under the general supervision and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Our ideal candidates will have previous experience in landscape maintenance, have a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate powered equipment and hand tools. We are looking to hire a part-time maintenance position that will assist in preserving our seven parks and six miles of trail, with a focus on maintaining our park restrooms and trail system. The Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District is looking to hire someone who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for taking care of the diverse parks in Hood River.
